I provide kind, practical and evidence-informed dog behaviour support across Horsham, West Sussex and the surrounding areas. My aim is to help you understand what your dog is communicating, reduce stress and create realistic, lasting changes that work in everyday life.
There is no judgement and no one-size-fits-all approach. Every dog, owner and household is different, so your support will always be tailored to your individual situation.
Perhaps your dog:
🐾 Barks, lunges or reacts when they see other dogs or people
🐾 Finds walks overwhelming or difficult to manage
🐾 Growls, snaps or guards food, toys, spaces or people
🐾 Struggles with visitors, unfamiliar situations or busy environments
🐾 Appears anxious, fearful, frustrated or unable to settle
Or perhaps you:
🐾 Feel embarrassed, exhausted or unsure what to try next
🐾 Avoid certain walks, places, visitors or situations
🐾 Worry that your dog’s behaviour may become worse
🐾 Have received conflicting advice and no longer know who to trust
You are not alone, and your dog is not a bad dog.
Challenging behaviour is often a sign that a dog is frightened, overwhelmed, frustrated, uncomfortable or struggling to cope. With the right understanding and support, positive change is possible.
My approach looks beyond the behaviour you can see.
Together, we will explore why the behaviour may be happening, what your dog needs to feel safer and how you can begin making progress without fear, force or punishment.
You will receive clear, manageable advice that fits around your dog, your household and your everyday life.

You Don’t Have to Work Through This Alone
Whether your dog’s behaviour has recently started or you have been struggling for a long time, the first step is understanding what is happening and deciding what support will help.
Every behaviour journey begins with a Behaviour Assessment. You can then continue one session at a time or choose a structured programme for additional support and better overall value.
Dogs do not bark, lunge, growl, guard or hide simply to make life difficult.
Behaviour is communication.
It can be your dog’s way of saying:
My role is not simply to stop the behaviour you can see.
It is to help you understand what may be driving it, reduce your dog’s stress and give you practical skills that can create safer, calmer and more positive experiences for you both.
Progress does not always happen overnight, but with understanding, realistic expectations and the right support, meaningful change is possible.
“Ange helped us understand our dog in a completely different way. Walks are calmer, and we finally feel hopeful again.”
My passion for behaviour work grew from living with my own reactive German Shepherd, Zeus.
I understand how stressful and isolating it can feel when walks have to be carefully planned, other people do not understand your dog and you constantly worry about what might happen next.
Living with Zeus changed the way I understood dogs.
He taught me that behaviour is communication, that fear needs compassion and that reactive dogs are not bad dogs. They are often dogs who are frightened, overwhelmed or struggling to feel safe.
That experience led me to specialise in aggression, reactivity and welfare-led dog behaviour support so I could help other owners feel more informed, confident and hopeful.
At Ravendale Training and Behaviour, you and your dog will be treated as individuals. My aim is to help you feel listened to, supported and less alone while we work towards meaningful, realistic change together.
Support Informed by Experience and Continued Learning
Canine behaviour science continues to develop, so ongoing learning is an important part of my work.
Alongside my advanced qualifications in canine behaviour, I have completed specialist aggression training through Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Master Course.
I am also a VIP member of the Aggressive Dog community, where I regularly access continued professional development, specialist webinars and current evidence-informed approaches to supporting aggressive and reactive dogs.
This continued learning helps me provide thoughtful, responsible support that considers your dog’s emotions, environment, physical wellbeing and individual circumstances.
Getting help should feel clear and manageable. You do not have to know exactly which service or programme you need before contacting me.
If you are ready to begin, you can book a Behaviour Assessment.
If you are unsure whether Ravendale is the right service for your situation, you can arrange a free 15-minute discovery call first. We can briefly discuss what is happening and decide on the most appropriate next step.
