By confirming your booking with Ravendale Training and Behaviour, you are entering into a contractual agreement for our dog training and behaviour services. Participation in any of our services implies agreement to the following Terms and Conditions.
🔒 Confidentiality & Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with GDPR. Any materials, training plans, or online resources provided are for your personal use only. Please do not share access to these resources without written permission.
💳 Financial Responsibility & Results
We aim to provide clear, professional guidance and behaviour plans tailored to your dog’s needs. Outcomes may vary based on factors such as consistency, environment, previous training, and guardian involvement. By booking, you accept full financial responsibility for the session(s).
🗣️ Complaints Policy
We welcome feedback. If you have any concerns about the service received, please contact us so we can resolve the matter professionally and respectfully.
⚠️ Disclaimer – Scope of Service
Our services are focused solely on canine behaviour and training. We do not provide veterinary, legal, or medical advice. Health concerns should be referred to your vet.
📷 Use of Images, Video & Voice
By participating in our sessions, you grant permission for your image, voice, or your dog’s image to be used in training, education, or promotional material. Please let us know in writing before your session if you wish to opt out.
💰 Payment Terms
Full payment is required at the time of booking. This applies to all services including behaviour consultations, one-to-one training, classes, and online programs. Your booking is confirmed only once payment is received.
❌ Cancellation Policy
- One-to-one sessions: Cancellations made within 48 hours are non-refundable unless we can rebook your slot.
- Group courses: Require 14 days’ notice to cancel for a refund. Missed classes are non-refundable.
- Online courses: Non-refundable once booked.
- Extenuating circumstances: Considered case by case.
🐶 General Dog Training Terms
- Puppies must be fully vaccinated and up to date on flea/worm treatments.
- Dogs in season are not permitted at group sessions.
- All dogs must wear a Y-shaped harness if they pull on the lead to attend classes. We do recommend that dogs wear Y-shaped harnesses.
- On-lead policy applies unless otherwise instructed.
- Positive reinforcement methods only. Harsh handling, choke chains, e-collars or aversive tools are not permitted.
- Dogs with known behavioural concerns must be disclosed prior to booking.
- Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Clients are responsible for any injury, damage, or vet fees caused by their dog.
- Appropriate footwear should be worn due to varied surfaces at venues.
- Ravendale is not liable for loss or theft from vehicles. Dogs must never be left unattended in cars.
🌩 Weather Conditions
For safety, sessions may be rescheduled, relocated, or moved online due to extreme weather (e.g. heatwaves, storms, snow, high winds).
If an alternative option (such as a virtual session) is offered, no refund will be given for weather-related cancellations.
🦴 Bite Policy & Aggression Management
If your dog has a history of biting or poses a potential risk to others, this must be disclosed before booking. So we can put in management and safety measures.
In cases where safety is compromised (e.g., aggressive behaviour or bites during a session), Ravendale reserves the right to terminate services and refer you to a veterinary behaviourist. No refund will be provided in these cases.
🧠 Health & Medical Disclosure
Please inform us of any medical or behavioural conditions that could affect your dog’s training, including pain, illness, or medication. We may require veterinary clearance before proceeding with sessions.
👥 Client Responsibility
Clients are expected to follow safety guidelines and actively participate in sessions. Ravendale is not liable for incidents caused by a client’s failure to follow professional advice.
🕒 Late Arrival Policy
If you are more than 15 minutes late, your session may be shortened or cancelled. Full fees still apply.
📝 Intellectual Property
All written materials, training plans, and resources remain the property of Ravendale Training and Behaviour. They may not be copied, shared, or reproduced without written permission.
🧾 Booking Process
All bookings must be made via our website or email. You’ll receive a confirmation email once payment is received. If payment is not received within 7 days, your slot may be released to another client.
📍 Service Areas
We offer in-person sessions across West Sussex and East Sussex, with remote video consultations available UK-wide. Travel is included for the first 10 miles from our base. Additional travel is charged at 50p per mile.
✅ Agreement
By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. They are in place to ensure the safety, welfare, and success of you and your dog.
